Complete Guide to Installing BUYSTICKTILES Backsplash Stick Tiles

Transforming a room has never been easier! BUYSTICKTILES’s backsplash stick tiles offer a quick, affordable, and mess-free way to refresh your space with stylish, easy-to-install tile designs.

This guide will walk you through how to install BUYSTICKTILES backsplash stick tiles in your kitchen, bathroom, or any flat surface with ease.

🧰 What You’ll Need

  • All-purpose wall cleaner
  • Small towel or cloth
  • Box cutter or scissors
  • Pencil
  • Stainless steel ruler
  • Plastic smoother

🔧 How to Install Backsplash Stick Tiles

Step 1: Clean the Surface

Ensure your wall is flat, dry, clean, and solid. For aged or damaged walls, apply a water-based seal primer to reinforce the surface.
Tip: If your wall was recently painted, wait up to three weeks before applying tiles to ensure the paint has fully cured.

Step 2: Plan and Cut

Plan your layout carefully. Measure and cut the tiles to fit your space using a box cutter or scissors and a ruler. Pre-cutting improves precision and overall finish.

Step 3: Peel and Stick

Peel off the protective top film (if applicable), then remove the backing paper. Apply the tiles side by side for a seamless look.

Ensure edges are slightly overlapped and aligned. Begin with light pressure so you can reposition if needed. Once you're satisfied, press firmly with a plastic smoother, focusing on grout lines and indented areas to maximize adhesion.

Step 4: Finish and Enjoy

Repeat the process until your entire surface is covered. Step back and admire your new backsplash!

💡 Important Tips

  • Only apply tiles to clean, smooth indoor surfaces.
  • Not suitable for outdoor use or as flooring.
  • To remove tiles, warm the adhesive with a blow dryer or heat gun and gently peel from the corners to avoid wall damage.
  • For stovetops and fireplaces, install at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from the heat source for safety and longevity.
  • For shower areas, use only BUYSTICKTILES’s thicker tile models, and ensure the space has good ventilation.
  • Seal tile edges with trimming and waterproof caulk (or glass glue) to prevent water seepage.
  • Install tiles when the room temperature is between 18°C and 35°C (65°F–95°F). If needed, use 3M Purpose 45 Spray Adhesive for stronger bonding.
